Love the Cheetah Analogy!
The article in NY Times just made my elevator pitch on agile methodologies a MUST-Have. I dare you to join me on a ride if you have read this article!
Can you believe how much its hunt looks like a burndown chart?
Seriously though, ever since I started coaching technical teams in process excellence, I have used the analogy of Cheetah. I can imagine even few of my dear clients in Mexico or Norway or Atlanta rolling their eyes, after having the pleasure of learning Kanban with me!
If all our business had a vision and still be able to adapt based on the dynamic world, capturing excellence in customer experience would be a piece of cake (or rather a piece of meat in case of our friend Cheetah). This means that the Cheetah analogy fits even the Kanban model of bringing visibility, not just scrum sprints.
I pride myself to have introduced Agile not only to development teams, but also to integration, operations, services and customers. Please drop me a note if you like to explore any ideas around leveraging agile for customer success, improving customer retention and implementing agility between support, services, sales, marketing, operations and development. I love to play the glue!
